Is it a potential crime scene or just my latest dumpster fire?

Image
So this is a scene from my life today. I just keep telling myself it is so going to be worth it, and try to avoid the room. However the dust and fallout from the project is in nearly every-room upstairs, so it's hard to avoid. Once it is done I am sure it will be a #quarantinechaser but for now it is just a #dailydumpster. But the progress is my #quarantinechaser. This project has been a long time coming, so I am just going to pour myself a glass of wine to toast the progress and sit outside in the sunshine far from the dust and crime scene.

Chaser time

While the mess is a lot to take, there is noticeable progress being made and the first of that progress is my #quarantinechaser to help with today's #dailydumpster. Getting the mail today was kinda awesome!

It's a mess!

So nearly every room and the outside of my house has at least a mini dumpster fire simmering. As we are not traveling, we are doing a whole host of projects on the house. But this means MESS. Like for real MESS! Today's #dailydumpster is all the stuff I pulled out of the attic for a two part project of 1) cleaning out the attic obviously, but 2) to make room for the electrician to come and do wiring for a new light fixture for our dining room remodel/redo. So it's a hectic mess here, but a good friend told me today that mess is part of the process and to not fight it, to just work through it. Good advice for this and for so many other things. So here is to embracing the mess and pushing on through.

quarantine hiatus

So major quarantine hiatus because everything has been on fire daily, but it is such a strange, new and brutal fire that the flames of my normal dumpster fires were lost amongst the deluge. As we struggle and crawl and fight to find a way back to the new normal we will find ourselves in, I am still surrounded by daily fires, but they seem a little less important now. I hope that sticks as I move forward, and I stress a little less about the things that do not last. However, I am still me, and mess still makes me crazy and I feel out of control when my surroundings are not in order. So today's #dailydumpster is the pile of donations that has been in my house for around five months. But #quarantinechaser is it will finally be picked up on Friday!

Hey guys you know what quarantine really needs???  A leaky sink that pours water into your basement! It's a real icing-cake situation! So that's my #dailydumpster after a lengthy break (that don't worry had plenty of fires)! As you can see all my cleaning supplies are sitting in baskets on my counter since I have to wait for a plumber to come tomorrow. So it's fine. I'm fine!

It has been a long, hard, no good week. But, I am surrounding myself with things that make me happy, and focusing on them. And hoping for some restorative sleep this weekend. My #quarantinechaser today is my early birthday presents of a rug and new desk chair for my library aka my happy place. Take care of yourselves and each other! And find beauty and happiness where ever works for you! #DailyDumpster

Quarantine mess

So here's another glimpse into my quarantine mess at my house. It's been there for several days now. I have yet to break down and clean it. But, it's making me crazy, and I don't need any more kindling on that fire. It's fine, it's all fine. I'm fine. #DailyDumpster
