This was all clean and washed by Sunday afternoon. Five days later I am still working on folding it and putting it away. If my kids were still little I wouldn't feel so bad about it, but I don't spend my evenings at sports events, and making dinner, and helping with homework anymore.
But recently I have noticed that being "busy" is a gas, and your life/time is the container it has to fill. No matter what big things you've got going on, or very little going on, it expands to fill up the space. And boom you are just as "busy" when you get a bunch of time drains off your plate, as you were when they still took up your days. So I am going to make this new year, and this new decade, a time of intention, I am going to carefully decide what I chose to fill my life and time with. And apparently finishing the laundry didn't make the cut. What are you going to fill your life with this year?
